How the Breeding Chain Engine Works: BFS Graph Traversal & CombiRank
Palworld contains over 18,700 valid breeding combinations across 137+ base species and variant subspecies. When viewed mathematically, every Pal is a node in an interconnected graph, and every valid pairing forms a directed edge leading to an offspring node.
Our pathfinder executes a Breadth-First Search (BFS) algorithm outward from your owned Palbox inventory:
Generation 1 (Direct)
The engine checks if any two Pals in your Palbox can breed the target Pal directly. If yes, the chain terminates immediately at Step 1 (Cost: 1 Cake).
Generation 2 (1 Intermediate)
If no direct pair exists, the algorithm evaluates all intermediate offspring that can be bred from your inventory, testing if they can mate with an owned Pal to hatch the target.
Generation 3+ (Deep Chain)
For restricted starter-only inventories, the BFS traverses multi-tier lineages, guaranteeing the mathematically absolute shortest path with zero redundant steps.
π‘ CombiRank Progression: Every generation step averages the parents' hidden breeding powers: Math.floor((Parent A + Parent B + 1) / 2). Breeding a low-rank powerhouse (like Relaxaurus, Rank 280) with a starter (like Sparkit, Rank 1110) rapidly bridges the power gap to mid-tier titans like Anubis (Rank 480).
